- Our warranty does not include the costs relating to transporting, removal, reinstallation or any labour.
- A Service Call fee will apply after one (1) month from original installation date.
- Warranty will only apply if goods have been paid for in full.
- As all our products are custom made, they can not be changed or cancelled after manufacture has begun or additional costs will be payable.

Limited Warranty
Decorʼs Blinds are designed and manufactured to provide you with years of customer satisfaction. Every Decor Blind, except Painted Venetian Blinds, is guaranteed against any defects in materials or workmanship for a period of 3 years on components, 12 months on fabric. Painted Venetian Blinds only carry a one (1) year warranty.
This warranty is extended to the original purchaser from the seller and is non-transferable and non-assignable. The warranty is in place subject to the recommended regular maintenance being carried out as per the Care Sheet.
This Warranty does not cover accident, abuse, misuse or negligence to the blinds.
Blinds with defective materials or faulty workmanship will be repaired or, at our discretion, replaced free of charge. Purchasers should contact our Customer Service Department on (07) 3716 7766 to arrange for a technician to come to your home to inspect the blinds.

Elegant Shades
Limited Warranty
Decor’s Blinds are designed and manufactured to provide you with years of customer satisfaction. Every Decor Blind Veri Shade is guaranteed against any defects in materials or workmanship for a period of two (2) year from the date of the original installation.
This warranty is extended to the original purchaser from the seller and is non-transferable and non-assignable. The warranty is in place subject to the recommended regular maintenance being carried out as per the Care Sheet.
This Warranty does not cover accident, abuse, misuse or negligence to the blinds. Elegant Shades with defective materials or faulty workmanship will be repaired or, at our discretion, replaced free of charge. Purchasers should contact our Customer Service Department on (07) 3716 7766 to arrange for a technician to come to your home to inspect the Elegant Shades.

Thermalite Shutters
Pro Rata Warranty
Decor Thermalite Shutters are designed and built to provide you with many years of customer satisfaction. Every Decor Thermalite Shutter order is guaranteed against any defect in materials or workmanship for a period of twenty five (25) years from the date of the original installation excluding paint finish that has a three (3) year warranty and hardware has five (5) years.
The warranty is in place subject to monthly maintenance being carried out as per the Care Sheet.
Colour fastness of the paint will vary depending on the direction to sunlight, UV and exposure to air pollutants and normal atmospheric conditions. These occurrences are not covered under this warranty.
Monthly care maintenance is required, such as:
1. Dusting with a soft dry duster.
2. Cleaning any fingerprints or marks with a damp cloth and if necessary, a mild detergent
3. DO NOT use any harsh chemicals or abrasives.
4. DO NOT use any Ammonia based cleaners.
If the Shutters are installed in an area where more than normal dust is collected or the Shutters are subject to any coastal air or are installed externally then cleaning is to be carried out more frequently than monthly. If there is any evidence that this cleaning maintenance has not been carried out, the Shutters are not warranted. Stainless Steel hinges and screws must be used in coastal areas or warranty is void.
This warranty does not cover accident, abuse, misuse or negligence to the shutters.
The removal or re-installation of any shutters is not covered under our warranty. A cost will be applicable for this to take place.
In the event of a warranty claim, the owner must notify the retailer in writing within a thirty (30) day period after the defect first appears.
Purchasers & subsequent homeowners should contact our Customer Service Department on (07) 3716 7766 to arrange for a technician to come to your home to inspect the shutters.
Please note: A service call fee will apply after 1 month
**PRO RATA – If any of our shutters have a defect before the end of the warranty period, they will be repaired, however, only for the amount based on a cost that depends on the age of the shutters at the time of defect reported.
Transferrable Warranty Conditions
- Transferrable Warranty only applies to Thermalite Shutters and the associated hardware supplied with this product.
- The transfer of this warranty must be approved by the original manufacturer, Decor Blinds Australia, in writing to take effect.
- Prior to a transfer of warranty, a site inspection by the original Manufacturer of the shutters must take place for the transfer to be approved.
- This site inspection cost is $150.00 inc GST.
- This can be done prior to selling or within 30 days of the new owner moving into the property.
- A qualified technician will be booked to do a site inspection and report on any defects that are present. Defects will be noted, and photos taken for file.
- Transfer of Warranty is then to be approved, and written confirmation must be received by the manufacturer, Decor Blinds Australia Pty Ltd to take effect.
- Should any defects be present at time of inspection these will not be covered under warranty.

Zip Screen
Limited Warranty
Decor Zip Screens and Awnings are designed and built to provide you with many years of customer satisfaction. Every Decor Zip Screen and Awning is guaranteed against any defects in materials or workmanship or a period of Five (5) years from the date of the original installation.
This warranty is extended to the original purchaser from the seller and is non-transferable and non-assignable. The warranty is in place subject to the recommended regular maintenance being carried out as per the Care Sheet.
Motors are guaranteed for a period of Five (5) years from the date of the original installation. The warranty is in place subject to the recommended regular maintenance being carried out as per the Care Sheet.
This Warranty does not cover accidents, abuse, misuse or negligence to the Zip Screen or Awning.
Zip Screens and Awnings with defective materials or faulty workmanship will be repaired or, at the manufacturers discretion, replaced free of charge. Purchasers should contact our Customer Service Department on (07) 3716 7766 to arrange for a technician to come to your home to inspect the Zip Screen or Awning.

Motorisation

Motors are guaranteed for a period of Five (5) years from the date of the original installation. The warranty is in place subject to the recommended regular maintenance being carried out as per the Care Sheet.

25 Year Warranty
25 Year Limited Warranty on Shutter Frames and Panels
The shutter frames and panels of Thermalite Shutters are warranted by the manufacturer against defects in material for 25 years from the date of installation.
This warranty shall remain in effect only if normal cleaning practices are followed periodically, as described in the Maintenance and Cleaning Instructions accompanying this Warranty.
The limited warranty on Thermalite Shutter Hardware is warranted for 5 years. Paint is warranted for 3 years.
To the extent permitted by law, this Warranty is the only Warranty applicable to Thermalite Shutters and it excludes all other express or implied Warranties. No person is authorised by the Manufacturer to give any further representation or warranty or to assume any further obligation with respect to the Shutters. This Warranty is for the benefit of the original purchaser of the Shutter (the “Owner”) but can be transferred, with the manufacturers’ approval.
1. Product Use
The Warranty applies only to Thermalite Shutters installed in Australia and New Zealand and used strictly for the purpose for which they were intended. These Shutters are not designed to be a total blackout when closed.
2. Warranty Limitations
The Manufacturers’ liability is limited solely and exclusively to repair or replacement, at the suppliers discretion and under no circumstances will the Manufacturer be liable for incidental or consequential damages such as, but not limited to, labour and transfer cost for any purposes, inconvenience, damage or injury to persons or to property, or any other expense.
3. Replacement Parts or Repair
The Manufacturer reserves the right to discontinue or change any Shutter or component as currently manufactured. If an exact replacement part is not available, the Manufacturer reserves the right to substitute parts of equal quality at its sole option. Parts may differ slightly in size or colour due to different batch production.
Exclusions from Warranty Coverage:
The following are excluded from coverage under this Warranty:
- Exposure to air pollutants and other atmospheric conditions may cause Thermalite surfaces to gradually suffer an accumulation of surface dirt and stains.
- These are normal occurrences and are not covered under this warranty.
- Any defect, malfunction, or failure to perform which has occurred because of unreasonable use, improper application, or failure to perform reasonably necessary maintenance.
- Shutters which have not been cleaned in accordance with the instructions in the Maintenance and Cleaning section of this document.
- Any damage to the Shutters or components of the Shutters caused by settlement or structural defects of the building in which they are installed.
- Any damage caused by wind, hail, lightning or flood waters, or other acts of God, intentional acts, accidents, negligence, or exposure to harmful chemical and pollutants.
- Any Shutter which has been repaired of modified by any person other than a duly authorised representative of the Manufacturer.
- Shutters made without divider rails or which are wider, higher, or of greater area than the recommended sizes are not warranted.
Procedure and Conditions of Warranty Remedy:
Any necessary repairs will be carried out at the Manufacturer’s factory.
Shutters must be transported to the retailer from which the Shutters were purchased. The retailer is then responsible for the safe return of the Shutters back to the manufacture’s factory.
Neither the Manufacturer nor the retailer will be responsible for any costs incurred in transporting the Shutters nor for any costs related to the removal or reinstallation of the Shutters.
In the event of a warranty claim, the owner must notify the retailer in writing within thirty (30) days after the defect first appeared. Such notification must contain the following:
- Name and Address of the purchaser
- Date of Installation
- A brief description of the defect
- Proof of purchase
- Proof of transfer
If the owner is of the view that the defect should be covered by this warranty, the owner may, at his or her own expense, arrange for the delivery of the shutters to the retailer and in turn to the Manufacturer’s factory for repair. Upon inspection, the Manufacturer will determine whether the defect is covered by the warranty. If the defect is covered by the warranty, the product will be repaired or replaced at the discretion of the Manufacturer.
If the defect is not covered by the Warranty, the Manufacturer will inform the retailer of costs and options related to the repair. Retailer authorisation is required before the Manufacturer will repair, modify, or replace a product not covered by the terms of this Warranty.
Any costs or changes will be charged by the Manufacturer to the retailer.
The retailer will be responsible for collecting these charges from the Owner.
Maintenance and Cleaning Instructions:
- DO NOT use any harsh chemicals or abrasives.
- DO NOT use any Ammonia based cleaners.
- The materials require little maintenance
- The surface of the Shutter will collect a layer of surface dust over time
- Normal dusting with a damp cloth will remove this accumulation
- If more thorough cleaning is required, then the following procedures should be followed.
- Washing with mild soap and water or a mild household dishwashing liquid, using a soft cloth, generally will be enough.
- Mild, water-based, household cleaners can be used on dirt and stains which
- External Shutters should be hosed down regularly and washed with a mild soap solution to remove salt and air pollutants
High Pressure Hose should not be used to clean shutters - Shutter Hardware should be sprayed regularly with a silicone spray.
